اسلام آباد ( یو این آئی نیوز)حکومت نے منی بجٹ میں ضرورت کی متعدد اشیاء پہ ٹیکس لگایا لیکن معاشرتی دباؤ کے باوجود تمباکو کی صنعت کو نظرانداز کر دیاان خیالات کا اظہار کرومیٹک ٹرسٹ کے سی ای او شارق خان نے اپنے ایک بیان میں کیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ حکومت نے منی بجٹ میں ضروریات زندگی کی متعدد اشیاء پہ ٹیکس لگا کہ غریب آدمی پہ بوجھ ڈالا ہے لیکن پاکستان میں تمباکو نوشی کے خلاف عوامی دباؤ کے باوجود اس صنعت کو یکسر نظرانداز کیا ہے ۔ شارق خان کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان میں روزانہ 1200بچے سگریٹ پینا شروع کر رہے ہیں جس سے نہ صرف نوجوان نسل تباہی کی جانب بڑھ رہی ہے بلکہ اس سے صحت کے شعبے کو سالانہ 615ارب روپے کا نقصان ہو رہا ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کرومیٹک ٹرسٹ طویل عرصے سے عوامی سطح پہ آگاہی مہم چلا رہی ہے تاکہ حکومت کو احساس دلایا جائے کہ تمباکو نوشی سے کس قدر خوفناک مسائل جنم لے رہے ہیں لیکن ہماری کوششیں اس لیے کارگر ثابت نہیں ہورہیں کیونکہ اس صنعت سے وابستہ انتہائی بااثر مافیہ طاقت کے ایوانوں میں موجود ہے جو سگریٹ کے خلاف قانون سازی کی راہ میں سب سے بڑی رکاوٹ ہے ۔ شارق خان نے کہا کہ تمباکو کی صنعت سے وابستہ کمپنیاں ٹیکس کی ادائیگی کے حوالے سے جو اعداد و شمار حکومت کو بتا رہی ہیں یہ حقائق اس سے بالکل منافی ہیں اور ایف بی آر اور متعلقہ وزارت کو اس کا نوٹس لینا چاہیے ۔شارق خان نے مزید کہا کہ ہم حکومتی مجبوریوں سے آگاہ ہیں کیونکہ حکومت نے آئی ایم ایف سے قرض کی حصول کی خاطرشرائط کو پورا کرنے کے لیے بچوں کے درآمدی دودھ تک پہ ٹیکس لگا یا ہے لیکن اگر پاکستان کو حقیقی معنوں میں قرضوں کے بوجھ سے چھٹکارہ دلا کہ اپنے پاؤں پہ کھڑا کرنا ہے تو اسے اپنی آمدن میں اضافہ کرنے کے لیے تمباکو کی صعنت پہ ٹیکس بڑھانا ہوگا ۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ترقی یافتہ ممالک میں سگریٹ کو پرتعیش اشیاء میں شمار کیا جاتا ہے اس لیے ان ممالک میں سگریٹ کی قیمت انتہائی زیادہ ہے لیکن پاکستان میں ایک باقاعدہ منصوبے کے تحت نہ صرف اس کی قیمت کو کم رکھا گیا ہے بلکہ اسے بچوں کی پہنچ تک ممکن بھی بنایا گیا ہے۔
